Loni J. Brazer
Loni Brazer was born in Calgary, Alberta, in 1966 and attended the Alberta College of Art. He taught art for three years. Loni's unique ability to capture nature and its wondrous beauty sets him apart as an artist. Working as an illustrator has given Loni a chance to experiment with a wide variety of mediums and subject matter, however, his favourite combination continues to be wildlife and pastels. He continues to do landscapes, and accepts commissions.
When he began painting wildlife, Loni wanted to stand out from the mainstream genre. He chose pastels because of their flexibility and permanence. He found that by approaching the painting in a portrait like manner, the depth and character of the image became the primary focus, which is the main objective of his work.
Loni has exhibited at numerous art shows in and around Calgary and his paintings are in many corporate and private collections in North America.
